There are so many ancient cultures and myths symbolized in this piece of art I could stare at it for hours. Wow! I'm guessing that the figure is a new take on the destructive goddess Kali Ma and that the dragon under his/her feet symbolizes death of the ego represented in the reptilian brain -- thus the dragon or reptile image underneath.
However, why is there a baby creature inside the dragon? Is that the symbol of rebirth for the reptilian consciousness? Maybe it is saying that lower consciousness isn't thrown away, but reborn? Please explain, if you see this comment.
