What authentic tastes like. The PlanetShifter.com Magazine Interview with ASU Sustainability Student and Ford Model Intern Heather Hazzan

Axis:Image:

Sustainability and fashion --- two different worlds with one thing in common: me.

I am interested in seeing what lasts, what endures through time. I am not here for the instant gratification, but for the authentic accomplishments that surface from hard work, dedication, and being true to oneself.

I have found that within both of my two fields of interest, what lasts happens to incorporate the same thing: what is most natural and genuine.

The Silkworm Sabotage Trailer. The PlanetShifter.com Magazine Interview with Animator Terry Hahin

The zoetrope is a device which creates the image of a moving picture. The earliest elementary zoetrope was created in China around 180 AD by the prolific inventor Ting Huan. Made from translucent paper or mica panels, Huan hung the device over a lamp. The rising air turned vanes at the top from which hung the pictures painted on the panels would appear to move if the device is spun at the right speed.

"The world looked very different when I entered an ancient order of yogis and shamans in 1970. Anyone even suggesting that yoga would be mainstream one day, would have been sent to the funny farm. And yet, the very fact of yoga becoming mainstream, and taking on a life and an identity of its own, has tended to obscure the very traditions from which it arose.

personal responsibility, war and the environment: Neil Young's Greendale Graphic Novel? Presented by PlanetShifter.com Magazine

Axis:Image:

Neil Young’s Greendale, Illustrated

They say you can’t go home again, but maybe someone should tell that to Neil Young.

Mr. Young created the fictional Northern California town of Greendale and its residents on his 2003 album of that name, then spun it off into a film and more. Now he’s visiting again, this time in the form of a graphic novel. “I’m happy the story is getting around; I think it’s empowering for young women,” he said during a recent telephone interview from his tour bus as it made its way to Louisville, Ky.

The Girl Who Glows on Walls

Axis:Image:

To the girl with the present tense past (the salt)
Are we at the same table?
Or pulling apart a bicycle built for two?

You are getting prettier as we txt on
But the moat I’m treading in
Is cranking me down

Where is Spock when you need him?
Force fields, magic wands, lost keys
I wish it was 1971

But that's still a nice little tattoo Honey
I want one two
Moon’s up!

I’m one.

The saints are marching home
Can’t cha hear the signs?
Tossing in the ocean foam
My heart in your hands?

Their trail of tears spills down my chest
I see my Father’s knees

Please say good bye to my bees

The Great Human Divide opens like an Iris in the Sky
The purple paste streaming begins
I am covered in Swami’s eyes
Can’t cha hear that Profit’s lies?

10 crappy things about the green movement by willi paul

Axis:Image:

Run it....

1. Green web sites that don’t connect to actual neighborhoods – that just post, babble and ghost.

2. Big ass ego sustainability consultants who think the world will change as they get rich.

3. Green job training seminars that cost 499.00.

4. Little or no praise or support for the effort from the Latino community, period.

5. Scant connection between all of the key hot button issues -- too much weight on a climate crisis and foodies.

6. “Green Celebrities.” Crap.

Willi,

You are so different from anyone I know.

I noticed that you are on Green Singles on occasion, and so I decided to look too. But as I sort through the available men I had bookmarked before I met you, I am bored. I’m starting to realize that my goals in life are gradually changing because of you.
