"ZEST - Journey Call #1 from Wellington, NZ" - by William George Paul & willipaul.studio
After a 14 + hour
super friendly Air New Zealand seat twister from SFO, I arrived half-awake in Auckland to the excellent vision of Glenn E. Singleton, President and Founder at
Courageous Conversation - a group fighting, and transforming, racism in America. Interestingly, not the last Bay Area peep I would meet this first day in Wellington.
I office with the cool folks at the
Aroma Café on Cuba - including Ani from Sonoma. Sweet! It's Angel Head Quarters now!
Graffiti is EVERYWHERE. Who ever said that this is
Never Never Land? (Hint:
Steve Kilbey)
I also put a jet fueled HI into the excellent
WREDA office. They work with businesses, events and organizations across Wellington to promote the profile of the city and region. Folks here are aiming that "Welli" will be the most prosperous, liveable and vibrant region in
Australasia.
Where is that??!
And,- yes: Rain. Wet, glorious Rain. Remember your umbrellas, NorCAL?
See you - up in my bunk - at YHA? OOooff.
